Jesus Film Project

The setting is a remote village in rural Africa. There is no general source of electricity, so as night falls, darkness envelopes the village. Suddenly strange lights can be seen! And a moving picture of a man speaking in the local dialect is projected on a screen in the village center!

In this scenario, you can bet the entire village will respond to see what this strange commotion is about!

The Jesus Film…translated into more than 900 languages… resulting in over 200 million decisions for Christ… is an effective tool for evangelism in unreached rural regions of Africa.

But… who will take the film to these remote areas?

Living Word Missions-affiliated Bible training centers have trained over 100,000 people in Africa and other parts of the world. Many of these graduates have already been deployed to unreached rural areas of Africa.

These brave young evangelists endure great hardship to carry generators, projectors and other equipment (sometimes on their heads!) to remote areas. The Jesus Film opens a door through which they can preach the Gospel.

After converts are made in a region, a church planting strategy places a missionary team in the region to begin Bible studies transitioning to house fellowships.
