Donald and Josephine Bessman are graduates of the Freetown Bible Training Center in Sierra Leone. After helping to establish the work in The Gambia, they moved on to pioneer the Bissau Bible Training Center in French-speaking Guinea-Bissau.
BTC and Evangelism
Their work was interupted in the spring of 1998 by the outbreak of war and they have since taken over temporary leadership of the ministry in Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone, too, has been in the midst of war but the work continues with 600 students and an emphasis on disipleship and evangelism despite great hardship.
