Since 1984 the Coopers have served as missionaries on the foreign field. After Gary graduated from Bible school, the family moved to the nation of Guatemala in 1984 where they ministered for four years. It was during that time that the Lord began speaking to their hearts about a call to Europe. In June of 1989, four months before the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Coopers moved to Germany.
Soon after arriving they began to work with local pastors to establish Bible schools in various cities in Germany, as well as in newly opened countries such as Slovakia and Poland. In 1991 Gary began to direct the Feed the Hungry office in Germany for Dr. Lester Sumrall's ministry, and has since been involved with helping send food, medical equipment, medicine and Christian materials from Germany into devastated and war-torn nations through the world.
The Coopers are currently living in Berlin where, since 1994, they have been pastoring a local international church with over 16 nations represented in the congregation.
