LWM News Update - October 3, 2008

Recent Bible school graduates in Liberia, West Africa.
Dear Friends,
September was such a full month that I literally could not find time to write. I did, however, pray for you regularly. It has been our routine for years to pray the Ephesians prayers for our partners. I hold you in high esteem and do not take lightly my responsibility and privilege to pray for you.
All summer we enjoyed visits from our missionary affiliates. We were blessed to hear their reports of fruit born in the nations and were privileged to minister to their needs. The Lord continues to give us grace to be missionaries to missionaries.
Last week I received an email that made my day: “I am pleased to inform you that the first year's curriculum has now been translated into Greek”…referring to our three-year Bible training center curriculum. All translations are posted on our website. I regularly receive emails from around the world from individuals and Bible schools using the curriculum.
Currently portions of the curriculum are posted on our website in Spanish, French, German, Polish and Portuguese. Greek translation is continuing and I just authorized a Pakistani translator to work on an Urdu translation. There are an estimated 100 million Urdu speakers in Eurasia! Glory to God!
You will remember that I last wrote about teachers’ training in Liberia that Bert Farias and Doug Bonner were to conduct in August. Ralph Jimmeh, our Liberia Director, graciously hosted Bert and Doug as they traveled to three locations in the nation, training the Bible training center directors and teachers. Bro. Bert wrote this report:
“I just returned from Liberia where the Lord recently ‘spotlighted’ this nation in prayer. This was the first nation of our first missionary assignment more than 20 years ago. It is now a time to rebuild, to strengthen, and reestablish the work there.
This past trip included visits into the interior of Liberia to inspect the condition of our works and our troops. By the grace of God, a minister friend and I managed to impart some vision and training with demonstrations of the Spirit. We helped to bring some direction and order that strengthened and encouraged some faithful disciples. Bible training centers in Liberia are opening up for another school year and changes and adjustments are being made. This trip was one of the more fruitful ones I've had this year. Thank you to all our partners who continue to help send us on assignments like this.”
We’ll continue to help in Liberia and other nations with your partnership. Elisabeth, We can’t do what we do without you! Thank you for entrusting us with your missions investment!
In His wonderful service,

Bro. Bert ministering to teachers in the interior of Liberia.
